Trusted Sources of Information

I was reading the Reaching Influencers With Word-of-Mouth article which got me asking, “What are the implications of this trend?”

What strikes me most is how eMarketer cobbled together a report using results from two different studies. The 1997 University of Massachusetts Survey and the 2007 Bridge Ratings Survey.

Strangers with Experience Trusted More Than Radio

What I find interesting is ’strangers with experience’ nearly doubled in the number of people as being trusted sources of information. Bloggers still have a long way to go as we are slightly more trusted than advertising but not as much as TV news reporters.

Whereas, newspapers, teachers, newspapers/magazines, TV news reporters, and advertising ability to influence is dropping.

Question: Who do you trust as a source for your information?
