While collaborating with my fellow PBCA coaches this year that I realized not everyone understands what it means to be a collaborator or is comfortable collaborating. I was surprised to learn how difficult some people have opening up and sharing.
It was while I was thinking about this issue that I realized one of my greatest learnings of 2007 is identifying what I consider my greatest asset, the ability to collaborate with entrepreneurs.
Bloggers are Natural Collaborators
Every successful blogger I have met works toward a common goal – to help others. This may be that blogging is a cooperative effort, you cannot do it alone. In the process of helping others they are rewarded with blog comments, contacts, and a growing network eager to reciprocate. All great qualities of successful collaborators.
New Book In Progress
My new friend and fellow collaborator, Michael Martine, the Remarkablogger is just such a gentleman. I am proud to announce that Michael and I are collaborating on a book and learning environment titled Gateway Blogging.
“In some ways we had both been heading in this direction independently. I had always been interested in what makes business blogging different from other kinds of blogging. And Greg had grown concerned about business blogging’s effectiveness and ROI. When we realized that both of us were very interested in helping other businesspeople get the most out of both their business and their blogging efforts, we decided to join forces.” [To learn more, visit this on page on Gateway Blogging]
What is Gateway Blogging?
Gateway Blogging is the practice of creating blog content and setting up a blog’s features to help people move from being interested to making a serious inquiry. More specifically, Gateway Blogging is a set of learnable content production techniques that enable readers to envision success as a customer of the blogger’s services and persuade the reader to become a customer. It is also a set of reproducible blog design and setup tasks & techniques that support the Gateway concept and magnify the effectiveness of the blog’s content.
We will be blogging about our experiences which gives you the opportunity to learn and grow along with us. Some great content is starting to appear so drop by and leave us a note of encouragement, ask questions, and give some feedback.
