One Minute Entrepreneur Fails to Impress
March 29, 2008
Source: WikipediaThe author of the One Minute Manager has developed a new Program called the One Minute Entrepreneur.
I discovered this program via an email. I opened it because it carried the authors name. Curious I decided to check it out. They really did a good job with the internet marketing, must have had a consultant or outsourced it.
I decided to enroll to see what a big name is doing online. I was not impressed. The content included was light to say the least, elementary at best. The forums were full of multilevel marketers and no one else. You would be better off listening to Kelly Clarksons Album One Minute, No!
Anyway, stay away from this program unless you are an absolute newbie to business.

KPCB: The iPhone Is Bigger Than the PC
March 6, 2008
I watched the iPhone SDK event today that took place at the Apple Town Hall. Apple did not disappoint, the SDK iPhone Developer Program:
The iPhone Developer Program provides a complete and integrated process for developing, debugging, and distributing your free, commercial, or in-house applications for iPhone and iPod touch. Complete with development resources, real-world testing on iPhone, and distribution on the App Store, you have everything you need to go from code to customer. Via iPhone Developer Program
I have to say that Apple has really done things right. Developers will be able to build mobile apps quickly and easily. Apple showed a game they built, EA demonstrated 18 levels of Spore for the iPhone, SalesForce.com demonstrated a mobile app that connects with their dashboard and opportunity funnel - all developed in just two weeks.
Kleiner Perkins (KPCB) announced the iFund a $100,000,000 fund for entrepreneurs that want to develop applications and companies around the iPhone. They called the iPhone a “new platform” and called Steve Jobs the worlds greatest entrepreneur.
Are you developing an application for the iPhone? What do you think, will the iPhone be bigger than the PC?
Leveraging Customer Knowledge with Gateway Blogging
March 5, 2008
There is a myth that we customers are time starved. We are busy and might feel time starved but when we find a company, products, or something we enjoy we somehow find the time.
As busy and time starved as we might be, when we find what we want we will spend as much time as needed. In fact, if we need to carve out extra time - we will do it - when we find something we really enjoy or want.
Over at Gateway Blogging I assert that Customers Are Not Time Starved Just Smart and Selective. In fact understanding your customers needs and adjusting the way you do business to meet your customers needs is a bullet proof competitive strategy.
I day bullet proof because in order to compete on the same level, a competitor would first need to acquire the same knowledge - which is not likely - plus try and mimic hat you are doing. Customers can tell the difference between the real deal and a fake. Check out my Smart and Selective article and the smart questions to help you become the competition.
Reading, Remembering, Intent, Doing
March 4, 2008
This quote is along the same vein as this podcast and quote from the founder of Disney University.
“It is not what we read, but what we remember that makes us learned.
It is not what we intend but what we do that makes us useful.
And, it is not a few faint wishes but a lifelong struggle that makes us valiant.”
- Henry Ward Beecher
Taking action and pursuing something we are passionate about over the course of our lifetime is valiant. What are you committed to overcoming throughout your lifetime?
No Secrets
March 3, 2008
“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, learning from failure.” — Colin Powell
