  • Key Initiatives: created from reviewing the Initial Questionnaire, this document establishes specific development priorities for yourself and the business.

Adapt to Meet Your Needs

Greg Balanko-DicksonSome situations could warrant using additional assessment tools, approaches, and in-depth analyses. For example, a startup would have different needs than an established business in the area of marketing and sales.

Whereas a rapidly growing business might need additional attention paid to financial management.

That said, here are four more reasons why a thorough documented up front assessment is important:

  1. While it’s always worthwhile to listen to your intuition and gut feel, understanding as much of the overall situation as you can will help drive to a more complete solution.
  2. The process of reviewing and documenting the situation will often lead to important discoveries able to be acted on immediately.
  3. Establishing a clear baseline situation through an assessment enables you to show progress, and ideally it ties back to tangible value generated by the process.
  4. Just listing the problem does not necessarily lead to understanding causes unless subsequent analysis is done.
